MORE ABOUT NATHAN PIZZO
My talents reach well beyond computer related skills. I have made a good living with those skills and have focused most of my time and energy on educating myself and acquiring new abilities that will enable me to do more or simply a better job of executing the skills I already have a good handle on.
That being said, I am very interested in many other things not related to computers. They include mountain biking, hiking, building stuff with my hands. I have built a complete Porsche 911 RS, and 10 Tear Drop Trailers, including a very special one with a Coast Guard Theme that was shipped to Michigan in 2021!
I have a growing family, with three boys and married for over 29 years! We’re really enjoying these years of very exciting times with our boys. Andrew has been married for almost two years, now his wife Devyn is expecting in the winter of 2023, a girl. So I guess I am going to be a ‘Grandpa’ which seems really wierd to me. All of my boys are very excellent at what they do, and contributing so much to the people in their lives.
I’ve always tried to balance two worlds. On one side, I’m deeply involved in graphic design. Design With Energy, my company, is where I craft logos and build websites. It’s where I help brands stand out and tell their stories.
But there’s another side to me. Cars, especially the ’74 911 RS I built from the ground up, showcase my love for hands-on projects. And it’s not just cars. I’ve made unique furniture and even rugged trailers for off-road adventures.
The work I do in graphic design, from logos to websites, funds my passion for cars and crafts. Each day, I juggle these worlds, making sure to give my best to both. Whether I’m in front of a computer or under the hood of a car, I’m always creating.
MOUNTAIN BIKE RACING
I also have built, and rebuilt several Mountain Bikes for race-ready applications. I compete in mountain bike racing locally, and have won twice in two 10 race series seasons separated by 3 years, ending up in 2nd place in the novice division and the more recent 3rd place in the sport division (which was a completely different ball game)
You will notice that the jersey I am wearing in the photos below say Woodcreek High School on them. I have been the ride leader/coach for over 5 years with two of my sons in that time. It’s been a blast, and it really keeps you in shape to do other things as well.
TEAR DROP TRAILER BUILDER
I have built several (6) complete tear drop trailers (with nothing but a 3D Model on my computer, plans in my head and a good supply of motivation. Not only that, but I am now building more of them and this time crafting it to a new level of precision.

74911 RS PORSCHE PROJECT
I built a 1974 Porsche 911 RS, basically from the ground up. That car was completed in 2009 and sold to a very happy customer in Alabama in 2014! I even built the engine for it and drove it about twice a day almost every day after it was running! And Yes, it was as fun as it looks, and NO, I did not get speeding tickets.

RAISED BED GARDENING
Not only interested in things that go fast, but things that GROW fast! It’s so amazing to watch a garden take off and flourish! I enjoy being a farmer!
RANDOM INVENTIONS & IDEAS
Some of these ideas don’t have a major category, but they are things I am working on
YES, I BUILT THIS TOO!
I completed this water wheel project back in 2014, and it stands as a permanent feature at ALLIANCE REDWOODS, near the coast of CALIFORNIA. This is a real thing. It is one of the most satisfying things I have ever accomplished.
AND I ALSO BUILD OTHER STUFF
Look Familiar? For me there are ideas that just seem too cool to leave in a 3D Modeling App. I think outside the box and come up with a way to take concept and bring it into real life. This table is one of those things that I really enjoy and am very happy I built. There will be more in the future … Every day is a new opportunity to challenge myself and see what life can be if I use my time and talents wisely.
